- Preventing burnout amongst healthcare professionals
- Promoting joy and satisfaction in healthcare settings
- Improving the culture of medicine
- Exploring barriers within healthcare careers for supporting equity and inclusion
- Thinking about how we can create more equitable and supportive spaces for wellness within healthcare careers
- Learning about structural issues impacting mental well-being for students and healthcare professionals
- Engaging in monthly workshops with HCOP’s Community Psychologist to discuss topics such as:
- Wellness experiences, challenges, practices, and needs from the students’ perspectives
- Meditation, emotional awareness, and self-care
- Creating anti-racist professional spaces for supporting wellness
Case Management
HCOP’s Case Management Program aims to understand student needs and assess what support HCOP can provide Ambassadors to reach their personal, professional, and academic goals.
- All students are assigned a case manager to meet with throughout the academic year on a biweekly basis
- Together, Ambassadors and their case manager will discuss and strategize ways to support their growth and trajectory to their career
