The EDGE-PA program addresses the opportunity gap in healthcare education.
It strives to create a more equitable landscape in Physician Assistant (PA) education by offering targeted support and resources to underserved groups, including individuals from medically underserved groups, those committed to serving underserved populations, and those who have overcome significant barriers in their lives.
The program’s cornerstone objectives include boosting awareness of PA careers, providing guidance on the application process, and offering mentorship and networking opportunities.
By cultivating a nurturing environment, the EDGE-PA program strives to remove barriers and foster successful entry into PA programs.
The EDGE-PA program envisions a marked increase in practicing PAs from these underrepresented populations, valuing and including their unique perspectives and experiences.

Mentors and Shadowing Preceptors
Whether you’d like to offer mentorship or provide shadowing opportunities as a preceptor, your support can make a meaningful difference. As a Mentor, you’ll share your expertise and guidance with aspiring healthcare professionals through virtual or in-person mentorship. As a Preceptor, you’ll pen your clinical setting to students seeking hands-on experience and real-world insights into the healthcare field.
